On 18th June 2019, IM Properties participated in the Careers Speed Networking event held at MIRA Technology Institute near Hinckley, an event that was organised by HBBC on behalf of the Employment and Skills Taskforce. The event was well received, with seven schools and over 80 children attending, and offered the students aged 12 to 14 the opportunity to gain careers advice in one-on-one, five minute networking sessions with professionals from 40 plus local businesses.
Organisations represented include Horiba MIRA, Triumph, Hinckley and Rugby Building Society, JJ Churchill, Sigma, Syncreon, Cadent, Upton Steel, IM Properties, Sketchley Grange Hotel and Spa, HBBC and Checkprint.
Richard Lawrence, Development Director at IM Properties, was one of the business representatives who took part in the event and was quoted in the Hinckley Times as saying:
“The speed networking format worked really well and provided a good illustration of the high quality of the students currently in the education system. Provided they continue to develop their skills and grow their desire to learn and work hard the local area will be in very safe hands. This type of event provides an excellent insight to us and influences where we want to direct investment in the future.”
